Painting Department in 4-year education process; It trains artists who are experts in contemporary art and applications with plastic competence in the field of painting, which is capable of performing in the field of Plastic Arts. The first two years of the program consist of basic art competences and theoretical foundations such as art history and aesthetics. The third and fourth years are mainly devoted to business subjects in accordance with the requirements of contemporary art and today's painting art. The program includes theoretical and practical topics such as application and workshops. However, apart from these, it allows students to focus on different nearby areas and topics they are interested in, with elective courses possible during the semesters.
Successfully completing all courses in the program (equivalent to a total of 240 ECTS) and having a grade point average of at least 2.00 out of 4.00 are the qualification requirements for graduation. Graduates who successfully complete the program by fulfilling all the requirements, receive the "Expert Artist in the Department of Painting" degree.
It continues its activities with 50 active students in the 2020/21 academic year.
